Frequently Asked Questions
Here are the answers to the questions we are
asked most often;
What type of paper are the photographs printed
on?
Our photographs are printed on professional Kodak
photography paper, the Kodak Endura Paper. This is
200 year archival quality paper printed in a
professional Digital lab with some of the best
equipment in the world. The photographs are made to
last even though they shouldn’t be placed in direct
sunlight as this may shorten the life of the
photograph.
What type of print finish are your photographs?
All our photographs are printed on the Kodak Endura
paper using a matt finish. A matt finish tends to
stop the reflection of the photograph especially
when it is behind glass.
Do you print the photographs yourself?
No, all our photographs are printed in a
professional digital photographic lab. The
photographs are printed using what is known as one
of the best printers in the world, the Kodak LED II
machine producing top quality prints.
Are the photographs taken using a digital camera?
Yes, all our photographs are taken using a high
resolution digital camera.
What format do you shoot your photographs in?
I mostly shoot in RAW format.
Is the print the same photograph as the mounted
one?
Yes it is exactly same photograph as the mounted one
the only difference is that Ben’s signature is on
the photograph with the print.
When we buy the print in the tube do we get Ben’s
signature?
Yes, each photo has a digitally enhanced signature
on the photograph when it is printed.
Can we put a pot on the Art Blocks?
No, the Art Blocks are for enjoying visually only.
They are not pot stands and can not withstand heat
on them.
How do we care for the photographs on the art
blocks?
The Art Blocks are photographs so please handle the
blocks with care. Pick the blocks up by the sides or
the back to prevent finger marks on the photographs.
If you do however get a mark on them or need to wipe
the photograph to remove dust please use a
microfibre cloth or something similar such as a
sunglass cloth. They are soft fibers and will reduce
the risk of any scratches on the photographs.
How can the art blocks be hung?
The blocks have a small hole at the back which you
can use to hang the blocks by using a small nail.
The nice thing about the blocks is they are wide
enough that they can also stand on a mantelpiece,
windowsill or bookshelf so don’t need to be hung.
